Dvortsovaya Embankment, 34, Moscow In the midst of the St. Petersburg White Nights, the golden hits of the world opera repertoire will sound in the historic interiors of the Hermitage Theater. The audience's favorite arias and orchestral fragments from operas by Verdi and Puccini, Gounod and Massenet will be performed by the Honored Artist of the Republic of Khakassia Yekaterina Monisova and the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Arkady Steinlukht.
A whole panorama of Italian opera will appear before you this evening. Excerpts from Puccini's cult operas - Tosca and La Bohème, the immanent beauty of Verdi's cantilena, and, of course, the eternal classics of bel canto - the music of Rossini and Bellini. The French branch of the program will feature works by Jules Massenet and the incomparable Georges Bizet.
