Ekaterina Monisova - soprano

Moscow Camerata Orchestra

In a Programme: Handel, Gounod, Massenet, Gershwin, Bernstein and others.

Ekaterina Monisova, the owner of the crystal lyric soprano, gained fame as a role performer of the Snow Maiden in the cognominal opera by Rimsky-Korsakov, Violetta in "La Traviata" by Verdi, Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" by Gounod, Mimi and Musetta in "La Boheme" by Massenet. The singer hates monotony in the work, so her repertoire also includes songs, romances and jazz compositions.

Ekaterina Monisova, Honored Artist of the Republic of Khakassia, the winner of the Grand Prix of the International Forum of Vocalists in Italy (2010), the soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic, is always looking for creative ideas, and her fans know that the singer's concert programs abound stylistic contrasts revealing all the facets of her talent. A concert at the House of Music will not be an exception, where Ekaterina Monisova will perform masterpieces of the baroque and romantic music along with jazz melodies by J. Gershwin, G. Miller, J. Kern et al.

The appearance of the George Gershwin in the concert program is not accidental: "I always finish my concert with "Clara's Lullaby," Ekaterina says. "This is my best act, where I combine opera with swing." At this time, "as the curtain fell" you will hear not only Gershwin's "Summertime", and the famous tango by Gardel Por una cabeza from the movie "Scent of a Woman".
