A concert of opera singer Ekaterina Monisova was held in Adygeya

The State Philharmonic Society of Adygea hosted a joint concert of Ekaterina Monisova, Honored Artist of the Republic of Khakassia, and the State Symphony Orchestra of the SFRA "Visiting the Opera".

The audience heard famous works performed by opera singer Ekaterina Monisova, whose golden soprano is recognized as one of the most beautiful, and the geography of performances covers the best stages in Russia and abroad.

Ekaterina Monisova's repertoire includes operatic roles, chamber and vocal-symphonic music. In her concert programs Ekaterina combines well-known classical and modern styles: from baroque to jazz. The artist was born in Kazan, but spent her childhood and youth in Maikop, where she graduated from music school and art school.

- I have performed many solo programs in Khakassia, but Adygeya will always be my native place. Every person wants to return to the place where he grew up. I know that special air, familiar places and unique people are always waiting for me here. Studying in Maikop at the conductor and choir department became a kind of foundation for my professional formation in the world of music and art, - Ekaterina shared her memories with "SA".

The concert program included the following works: Overture from G.Verdi's opera "The Power of Fate", aria Cio-Cio-San from G.Puccini's opera "Madame Butterfly", Norma's cavatina from V.Bellini's opera "Norma", Intermission to the 4th act of J.Bizet's opera "Carmen", aria Gilda from G.Verdi's opera "Rigoletto", Concerto for French horn and orchestra No.3 by W.A.Mozart, aria Marguerite from the opera "Faust" and Juliet's Waltz from the opera "Romeo and Juliet" by S.Gounod. A. Mozart, Marguerite's aria from the opera "Faust" and Juliette's Waltz from the opera "Romeo and Juliette" by Ch. Gounod, "Nocturne" for French horn and orchestra by R. Glier, Snow Maiden's aria from the opera "Snow Maiden" and overture from the opera "The Tsar's Bride" by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, "Spanish Song" by Leo Delibes. Kaplan Stasch conducted the orchestra.

The guest of the concert program was the French horn player Roman Bolotov from Krasnodar, a laureate of international competitions.

- I chose not only my favorite pieces, but also pieces that are familiar to the audience. Judging by the audience's reaction, live performance always touches the strings of a person's soul. Norma's cavatina Casta diva holds a special place in my heart. It is one of the most famous and difficult to perform Italian arias for soprano," commented Ekaterina Monisova.

She has already performed this work at the solemn concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Adygea's statehood. According to her, she was prevented from performing on the Maikop stage again by a busy schedule: Ekaterina is not only an opera singer, but also the chairman of the Regional Public Organization "Khakassia Zemlyachestvo" located in Moscow.

- I am interested in projects related to interregional interaction in the field of culture. We have a multinational country, but few people know about the culture of other peoples. I would like to organize a joint festive event "Ethno and Classics" with the participation of creative teams and artists from Adygea, Khakassia and Moscow, - said Ekaterina.

The audience was delighted with the concert and thanked the artists with a standing ovation.

- It was the first time I listened to Ekaterina's performance. She showed the highest professional level. I didn't even know that she is our fellow countrywoman. It is impossible to choose which aria I liked more. Ekaterina pleased us with the best of the repertoire. I love both Rimsky-Korsakov and Verdi. The program is quite difficult for the orchestra as well. I would like the Maikop stage to more often hear classics performed by such distinguished musicians, - shared the impressions of spectator Elena Timoshenko.
